How do I request a copy of a police report?

The Central Records Section, Community Correspondence Unit provides copies of Accident and Offense Reports.

Accident Reports Online

  • Effective January 1, 2011 Accident Reports for 2011 to date are available online. 
  • Online accident reports are $14.00 
  • To obtain a copy of a report online, click here.

Reports by Mail

The Baltimore Police Department will process your request by mail.

Fee:

A check or money order of $10.00 per report, payable to the Director of Finance(This fee is not refundable, DO NOT SEND CASH.) Your cancelled check and validated request will be your receipt.

What's Needed:

A completed Baltimore Police Report Request Form. Remember to print out your request form and mail it to the department.

NOTE: UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL POLICE REPORTS BE RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC AT HEADQUARTERS. MAIL AND ONLINE SERVICES ARE THE ONLY WAY TO OBTAIN POLICE REPORTS.
