Robert Lee Murphy Charged In MD Cab Driver Murder |

Baltimore, MD (March 6, 2009) – In connection with the January 26th murder of the Frederick, MD cab driver, Stephen Mauk (49), homicide detectives from the Baltimore Police Department have obtained an arrest warrant. Robert Lee Murphy (22) of the 200 Block of Douglas Court is being charged with 1st and 2nd degree murder, and an array of handgun violations.
Murphy is currently being held at the Howard County Detention Center for an unrelated handgun charge with a $250,000 bail. He is also being held on a detainer out of Frederick, MD for a carjacking that took place 8 days prior to the January 26th murder on Bond Street.
