On Tuesday, October 4th, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) honored Detective Sgt. Kathleen Jackson and Detective Steven McDonnell with a Shield Award for their work in bringing the attackers of James Privott to justice. Mr. Privott was the elderly fisherman that was severely beaten in a racially motivated attack in August of 2009. His primary attacker, Calvin E. Lockner, was sentenced to 31 years in prison for the assault.
