The Baltimore Police Department is committed to maintaining the highest levels of professional integrity and public trust.

After an extensive internal investigation into various improprieties, several members have been charged today with violating not only the law, but the sacred trust bestowed to us by the people we serve.

We are working very closely with our federal, state and local partners to investigate and prosecute those who have abandoned their oath. This investigation and these arrests are the product of that commitment.

The vast majority of the men and women of the Baltimore Police Department are dedicated, selfless, public servants who put their lives on the line each and every day to uphold public safety in Baltimore. Criminal activity that undermines the integrity of the agency and the many sacrifices our officers make each and every day will not be not tolerated.
