Adopt-A-Block |

The Adopt-A-Block program is a collaborative effort between officers, citizens, and other city agencies.
The program has four goals:
- Reduce violent crime.
- Reduce violent offenders in the community.
- Improve communication between the police and the community.
- Bring additional resources into high crime areas.
There are several Adopt-A-Block events scheduled:
- May 31, 2008, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM:
Unit Block East Heath Street - June 7, 2008, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
3300 Block Noble Street - June 14, 2008, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
2700 Block W. Fairmount Avenue - June 21, 2008, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
5200 Ready Avenue
Any resident interested in participating in the Adopt-A-Block program should contact their District Neighborhood Services Unit.
