The Baltimore Police Department's Education and Training Section has started the process for the Training Academy to become nationally accredited through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). As part of the process, CALEA provides an opportunity for public comment, commendations, and other information regarding the training academy's quality of training or other information relevant to the accreditation process. Please use this link which will be available for 60 days.

IMPORTANT: CALEA is not an investigatory body; therefore, the public portal should not be used to submit information for such purposes.  Additionally, there will be no response other than acknowledgment of submissions; however, the information will be considered in the context of its relevance to compliance with standards and the tenets of CALEA® Accreditation.  Any complaints and commendations for BPD employees should be submitted here (link)
