BPD announces multiple juvenile arrests from the weekend
The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) is investigating several incidents involving juveniles that occurred over the weekend of April 25–27, 2025. A total of 16 juveniles were arrested, including three suspects who were charged as adults. The crimes include:
- Robbery
- Stolen Auto
- Burglary
- Handgun Violation
- Aggravated and Common Assault
The suspects range in age from 13 to 17-years-old. Of the 16 juveniles arrested, 11 have prior arrest records, including two juveniles who have each been arrested more than nine times.
Thirteen of the suspects were transported to the Juvenile Justice Booking Facility for detention, while the remaining three suspects were transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility. Of the juveniles transported to the Juvenile Justice Booking Facility, seven were released to a guardian.
“It is incredibly frustrating to see young people involved in violent crime across our city,” said Police Commissioner Richard Worley. “Our officers are working every day to keep our neighborhoods safe, but real, lasting change requires all of us, from our families, schools, community leaders and the justice system working together. We cannot arrest our way out of this problem. We need accountability, early intervention and real support for our youth to break this cycle and build a safer future for Baltimore.”
