Over the weekend, Baltimore Police officers conducted multiple proactive enforcement operations that disrupted large-scale illegal dirt bike activity and resulted in a successful car club enforcement initiative.

Illegal Dirt Bike Enforcement

Southern and Northern District officers responded to large groups of dirt bike riders traveling through city parks. Officers prevented the groups from continuing through the area and assisted with crowd control as hundreds of riders gathered near Druid Hill Park.

Additional officers responded to assist, successfully dispersing the crowd. During the operation, three illegal vehicles were seized. In total, officers seized 10 dirt bikes and vehicles over the weekend.

During the enforcement operation, officers also observed two gas stations fueling participants involved in the illegal dirt bike activity. Civil citations were issued to businesses located at:

• 101 W. Patapsco Avenue
• 3601 Potee Street

Car Club Enforcement Operation

Southern District officers responded to the 1000 block of Wilson Drive after security personnel notified 911 that a large group of vehicles was gathering.

Officers strategically positioned themselves near the location and secured available exit routes, resulting in the following enforcement actions:

• 54 vehicle stops
• 36 traffic citations issued
• One arrest for assaulting a police officer
• One arrest involving a stolen vehicle and handgun violations
• One stolen vehicle recovered (reported stolen in Montgomery County on June 26)
• Three vehicles towed
