Eastern District Attempted Murder Arrest
In reference to the shooting that occurred in the Eastern District, Baltimore City detectives have arrested 44-year-old Christopher Leigh of Baltimore.
Leigh was wanted in connection with the shooting of a 29-year-old male (off-duty officer) on July 11, 2026, in the 2100 block of Sinclair Lane.
On July 12, 2026, Christopher Leigh was arrested in Baltimore County and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder.

Eastern District Shooting Investigation
On July 11, 2026, at approximately 8:32 p.m., officers responded to the 2100 block of Sinclair Lane to investigate a reported shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located an off-duty Baltimore police officer suffering from an apparent graze wound to the arm. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation. Individuals with information are urged to contact Homicide detectives at 410-396-2100.
