Eastern District Homicide Arrest

In reference to the homicide that occurred in the Eastern District on December 26, 2024, investigators have arrested 28-year-old Maurice Prioleau of Baltimore.

Investigators learned that Prioleau fatally shot and killed 27-year-old DeAngelo West while in the 2400 block of East Preston Street.

On January 1, 2025, detectives arrested Maurice Prioleau at a home in the 2600 block of Tyler Street. Prioleau was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he was charged with murder in the first degree.

Eastern District Homicide Investigation

On December 26, 2024, at approximately 3:29 p.m., Eastern District officers responded to the 2400 block of East Preston Street to investigate a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 27-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the back of the head. The victim was transported to an area hospital listed in critical condition.
