Eastern District Homicide Arrest

In reference to the homicide that occurred on  November 6, 2024, in the Eastern District, investigators have arrested 29-year-old Dakwane Cole of Baltimore.

Detectives learned that while in the 1800 block of Montford Avenue, Dakwane Cole shot and killed  30-year-old Bianca Nelson and wounded a 31-year-old male.

On November 25, 2024, detectives arrested Dakwane Cole, in the same block he committed the murder, the 1800 block of North Montford Avenue. Cole was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he was charged with First-Degree Murder & attempted murder.

Eastern District Shooting Investigation

On November 6, 2024, at approximately 10:43 a.m., patrol officers from the Eastern District responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 1800 block of North Montford Avenue.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered a 30-year-old female and a 31-year-old male, both of whom were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Emergency medical personnel transported the victims to area hospitals for treatment. Due to the critical nature of one of the victims', Homicide detectives have been notified
