Southwest District Fatal Vehicle Crash

On August 2, 2025, at approximately 5:54 a.m., patrol officers from the Southwest District responded to a report of a vehicle crash with injuries in the unit block of North Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Upon arrival, officers found a 37-year-old motorcyclist who was unresponsive at the scene. Medics arrived and pronounced the male deceased.

The driver and passenger of an SUV involved in the crash were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Crash Team detectives are currently investigating the incident.

Southwest District Shooting Investigation

On August 2, 2025, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 4300 block of Eldone Road for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 36-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot while in the 4300 block of Parkton Street by an unidentified suspect.

Northwest District Shooting Investigation

On August 3, 2025, at approximately 2:05 a.m., a Northwest District officer was on routine patrol when he heard gunfire.

That officer canvased the area, locating a 27-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound in the 5200 block of Fairlawn Avenue.

Medics responded to the location and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot while in the 5100 block of Reisterstown Road.
