Northwest District Shooting Investigation
On December 1, 2024, at approximately 9:29 a.m., Northwest District officers responded to the 3600 block of Bowers Avenue to investigate a possible shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located a 23-year-old male victim inside suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the left thigh. The victim was transported to an area hospital, listed in stable condition.
A person of interest was taken i to custody and a handgun was recovered.
Northwest District shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Northwest District detectives at 410-396-2466.

Western District Homicide Investigation
On December 1, 2024, at approximately 3:28 a.m., Western District officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of North Monroe Street to investigate a shot-spotter alert. A short time later, officers received a call from an area hospital for a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment.
Upon arrival at the hospital, officers located a 30-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. The victim was pronounced deceased a short time later by hospital staff.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in the 2200 block of North Monroe Street when he was shot and was driven to the hospital.
