Eastern District Shooting Investigation

On January 31, 2025, at approximately 4:40 a.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to the 2200 block of East Federal Street for a report of an armed person.

Once there, officers located an adult male, inside a residence, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Medics responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.

Northeast District Commercial Armed Robbery & Aggravated Assault Investigation

On January 31, 2025, at approximately 3 a.m., Northeast District patrol officers responded to a fast food restaurant in the 6000 block of Moravia Road, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 32-year-old female victim suffering from an injury to the foot.

Medics arrived on the scene to treat the victim.

Preliminary investigation revealed that an unidentified black male suspect approached the drive-thru window on foot armed with a gun. While attempting to remove the cash register, the suspect discharged his weapon inside of the restaurant causing an injury to the victim's foot. The suspect then fled the location with the register.
