Southeast District Homicide Investigation 

On July 4, 2025, at approximately 11:51 p.m., Southeast District officers responded to the 3500 block of Esther Place to investigate the discharging of a firearm.

Upon arrival, officers located an unidentified male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by medics. 

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Baltimore Police Department Homicide detectives at 410-396-2100.

Northern District Shooting Investigation

On July 4, 2025, at approximately 9:24 p.m., officers responded to the 2600 block of Greenmount Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.  A short time later, a victim walked into an area hospital seeking treatment. 

Upon arrival, officers located a 40-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. The victim is listed in critical condition. 

Northern District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Northern District Shooting detectives at 410-396-2455.

Central District Fatal Cyclist-Involved Crash

On July 4, 2025, at approximately 5:15 p.m., officers responded to the 900 block of Ensor Street for a cyclist-involved accident.

Upon arrival, officers located a 58-year-old male cyclist  who was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital and was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.

The Accident Investigation Unit (AIU) was notified and responded to the scene.
