Central District Fatal Pedestrian-Involved Crash

On March 11, 2025, at approximately 2:40 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of West Fayette Street for a pedestrian-involved accident. 

Upon arrival, officers located a 36-year-old male pedestrian who fell under an MTA bus and was struck. The victim was transported to an area hospital and was pronounced deceased by hospital staff. 

The Accident Investigation Unit (AIU) was notified and responded to the scene.

Central District Shooting Investigation

On March 11, 2025, at approximately 11:39 a.m., Central District patrol officers responded to the 1000 block of Aisquith Street, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 26-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Medics responded to the location and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigation revealed the victim was shot while in the 1000 block of North Central Avenue.
