Northern District Homicide Investigation

On March 24, 2023, at approximately 12:11 a.m., Northern District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of walk-in shooting victims.

Once there, officers located a 25-year-old female and 26-year-old male, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The 26-year-old male was pronounced dead by doctors. The female victim is currently listed in stable condition.

Officers learned that the victims were shot while in the 5400 block of York Road, where officers received a call for discharging, shortly before the victims walked into the hospital.

Central District Shooting Investigation

On March 23, 2023, at approximately 8:03 p.m., Central District officers responded to the 1600 block of Eutaw Place to investigate a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 56-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his body and a 34-year-old male suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound to his body. Both victims were transported by medics to an area hospital for treatment.

Central District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.

Western District Shooting Investigation

On March 23, 2023, at approximately 3:38 p.m., Western District officers responded to the 200 block of North Monroe Street to investigate a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 33-year-old female suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her body. The victim has been transported by medics to an area hospital for treatment.

Western District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.

Southeast District Shooting Investigation

On March 23, 2023, at approximately 1:11 p.m., Southeast District patrol officers responded to the 3700 block of Eastern Avenue, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers learned that an armed gunmen entered a business establishment, brandishing a handgun and demanding money.

A female employee of the business withdrew her firearm and a struggle ensued between the employee and the suspect over the gun. The gun discharged, striking the suspect in the leg.

The suspect fled the location with the employee’s weapon but was apprehended by officers moments later in the 3700 block of Gough Street.

Officers recovered the victim’s firearm as well as the suspect’s weapon that was later determined to be a BB-gun.

Southeast District detectives are investigating this incident. Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives at 410-396-2422.

Northern District Shooting Investigation

In March 23, 2023, at approximately 12:00 p.m., Northern District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim.

Once there, officers located a 46-year-old male suffering from an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The shooting is believed to have occurred in the area of 20th at Barclay Street.

Western District Homicide Investigation

On March 23, 2023, at approximately 12:05 a.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 2800 block of Edmondson Avenue, for a Shot Spotter alert.

Once there, officers located a 15-year-old male, a 24-year-old male, a 21-year-old male, an 18-year-old male, a 22-year-old male and an unidentified adult male, all suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Medics responded to the location and transported the victims to area hospitals, where the 24-year-old  male is listed in critical condition. The 15, 21, 18 and 22 year-old males are all listed in stable condition.

The unidentified adult male was pronounced dead on the scene.
