Southwest District Shooting Investigation

On March 27, 2023, at approximately 6:45 p.m., Southwest District officers were dispatched to investigate a call for a reported shooting in the 2100 block of Wilkens Avenue. 

Officers responded to the location and observed a 31-year-old male inside of a residence suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Southwest District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.

Southern District Homicide Investigation

On March 27, 2023, at approximately 8:56 p.m., Southern District officers responded to 1800 block of Eagle Street for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers entered a dwelling and located a 29-year-old male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Medics responded to the location and transported the victim to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.
