Southwest District Shooting Investigation
On April 15, 2025, at approximately 5:39 p.m., Southwest District officers were in the area of 200 South Fulton Street when they heard the discharge of a firearm coming from the 100 block of South Fulton.
Officers responded to the area and observed an unidentified male running after a male later identified as a 35-year-old victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. The victim was transported to an area hospital and listed in stable condition.
Officers observed the suspect jump into a vehicle and flee the area. The officers on the scene provided the units responding to the area with the tag and vehicle description. The suspects bailed out of the vehicle in the 800 block of Boyd Street and were apprehended shortly after without incident. Officers recovered a weapon and arrested two male suspects. This is still an active investigation.
