Western District Shooting Investigation

On August 30, 2026, at approximately 5:05 p.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 1500 block of West North Avenue for a report of a male shot.

Once there, officers located an adult male, uncooperative, suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the hand. 

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The victim was possibly shot while in the 1900 block of Greenmount Avenue and then traveled to the 1500 block of West North Avenue, where police were notified.

Southwest District Homicide Investigation

On August 29, 2026, at approximately 2:38 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 2500 block of West Fayette Street for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located an unidentified adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
