Northwest District Fatal Vehicle Crash

On June 13, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers responded to the 4300 block of Liberty Heights Avenue in reference to a motor vehicle crash. 

Officers arrived on scene and observed a single vehicle crash with two victims suffering from injuries. The driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased on scene. A passenger, a 40-year-old male, was taken to an area hospital in serious condition. 

Preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle crashed, causing it to strike multiple parked vehicles and overturn. 

Accident Investigation Unit (AIU) Detectives were summoned to the scene and assumed control over the investigation.

Southwest District Homicide Investigation

On June 13, 2025, at approximately 12:13 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to an area hospital in reference to a walk-in shooting victim.

Once there, officers located a 23-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Despite lifesaving measures, the victim later died.

Investigators learned that the victim was shot while in the 1500 block of West Fayette Street, where a crime scene was located.
