Western District Shooting Investigation
Northwest District Fatal Vehicle Crash
On May 5, 2026, at approximately 8:49 p.m., Northwest District Officers responded to the 3000 block of Liberty Heights Avenue in reference to a vehicle crash.
Officers arrived and located a crash involving a dirt bike and a SUV. The driver of the dirt bike, a 37-year-old male, was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the SUV remained on scene.
Crash Team investigators responded and assumed control over the investigation.

Southwest District Shooting Upgraded to a Homicide
The 31-year-old shooting victim from the 1600 block of Cole Street has been pronounced deceased.
Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation and are asking anyone with information to call 410-396-2100 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
Southwest District Shooting Investigation
On May 5, 2026, at approximately 1:12 p.m., officers responded to the 1600 block of Cole Street for a reported shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located a 31-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. The victim was found unresponsive inside an apartment in the 400 block of S. Gilmore Street and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Due to the severity of the victim’s injuries, homicide detectives were summoned and are actively investigating the incident. The 31-year-old was later pronounced deceased at an area hospital.

Southwest District Shooting Investigation
On May 5, 2026, at approximately 12:28 a.m., officers responded to the 2800 block of Edmondson Avenue for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate a victim.
While on the scene, officers were called to an area hospital where a shooting victim walked in seeking treatment. Officers responded to the hospital where they located a 47-year-old male who was suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim is in serious condition.
