Southern District Homicide Investigation 

On September 30, 2025, at approximately 3:27 p.m., officers responded to the 3700 block of 5th Street to investigate a reported shooting. 

Upon arrival, officers located a 35-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was transported to the area hospital and pronounced deceased by hospital staff.

Southwest District Shooting Investigation

On September 30, 2025, at approximately 3:16 p.m., Southwest District officers responded to the 3700 block of Harlem Avenue for a reported discharge. A short time later, a hospital walk-in shooting victim walked into an area hospital seeking treatment.

Upon arrival at the hospital, officers located a 16-year-old female victim, who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim is listed in critical condition. 

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was inside a vehicle when an unidentified person shot at the vehicle, striking the victim. The driver then drove to an area hospital.
