Northern District Attempted Murder Arrest

In reference to the shooting that occurred in the Northern District on March 29, 2025, detectives have arrested 21-year-old Broderick Young of Baltimore.

Investigators learned that Young was responsible for the shooting that occurred in the 400 block of Venable Avenue that injured an 18-year-old male, a 25-year-old male, a 60-year-old male and a 57-year-old female.

On April 23, 2025, Detectives arrested Broderick Young without incident. Young was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with multiple counts of attempted murder.

Northern District Shooting Investigation
 
On March 29, 2025, at approximately 2:22 p.m., Northern District Officers responded to the 400 block of Venable Avenue to investigate multiple calls of a reported shooting.
 
Officers responded and located an 18-year-old male, a 25-year-old male and a 60-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

A short time later, a 57-year-old female walked into an area hospital for treatment for a gunshot wound. At this time, it is believed that the female victim was shot while in the 400 block of Venable Avenue.

Northern District Shooting Detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.
