Northwest District Attempted Murder Arrest
On February 1, 2026, at approximately 4:40 p.m., patrol officers responded to Saint Agnes Hospital for a report of a walk-in cutting victim.
Once there, officers located a 51-year-old male suffering from a puncture wound to the upper body.
Detectives quickly learned that the victim was assaulted with a sharp-edged weapon while in the 3900 block of Dolfield Avenue, following a dispute with a male suspect.
Through the course of the investigation, Northwest District detectives were able to identify the suspect as 45-year-old Floyd Best Jr. of Baltimore.
On March 11, 2026, Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested Floyd Best Jr. while in the 6500 block of Frankford Avenue. Best Jr. was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been charged with Attempting First Degree Murder.
