In reference to a fatal shooting that occurred on March 31, 2026, in the Northwest District, Homicide detectives have arrested 49-year-old Rene Parks of Baltimore County.

 

Parks was wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of 43-year-old Garreth Parks Jr. that occurred in the 3700 block of West Belvedere Avenue following a domestic-related dispute.

 

Rene Parks was arrested on April 1, 2026, at her Baltimore County home shortly after the murder. Rene Parks was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where she was charged with first- and second-degree murder, assault and handgun violations.

On March 31, 2026, at approximately 10:18 p.m., Northwest District patrol officers responded to the 3700 block of West Belvedere Avenue for a report of a shooting.

 

Once there, officers located a 43-year-old male suffering from an apparent life-threatening gunshot wound.

 

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital, where he later died.
