Southeast District Homicide Arrest
In reference to a 2024 homicide case that occurred in the Southeast District, investigators have arrested 41-year-old Javon Rivers of Baltimore.
Rivers was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 31-year-old Donte Bazemore on December 18, 2024, in the 2600 block of East Chase Street.
On January 20, 2026, Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested Javon Rivers in the 2100 block of Harmen Avenue without incident. Rivers was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with First-Degree Murder.

Southeast District Homicide Investigation
On December 18, 2024, at approximately 3:12 p.m., Southeast District patrol officers responded to the 2600 block of East Chase Street to investigate several discharging calls for service.
Upon arrival, officers located a 31-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. The victim was transported to an area hospital and was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
