Southern District Homicide Arrest
 
Baltimore City detectives have arrested 20-year-old Taiquan Thomas from Halethorpe in connection with a homicide that occurred in the Southern District.
 
Thomas was wanted in relation to a shooting that resulted in the death of 41-year-old Curtis Knox and injured two other males, aged 40 and 35. The incident took place on June 6, 2026, in the 1000 block of South Hanover Street.
 
On July 15, 2026, Warrant Apprehension detectives apprehended Taiquan Thomas in Catonsville, MD, without incident. He was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been charged with First Degree Murder and First Degree Assault.

Southern District Shooting Investigation
 
On June 6, 2026, at approximately 2:51 a.m., Southern District patrol officers were called to the 1000 block of South Hanover Street for a report of discharging.
 
Once there, officers located a 40-year-old male, a 35-year-old male, and an unidentified male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
 
Medics transported the victims to area hospitals, where the 35- and 40-year-old victims' injuries are considered to be non-life-threatening. The unidentified male's injury is considered to be life-threatening.

Case Update
 
In connection with the shooting that occurred in the 1000 block of South Hanover Street, the unidentified male victim has succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. He has been identified as a 41-year-old male.
 
This case has been upgraded to a Homicide Investigation.
