Western District Attempted Murder Arrest

In reference to a shooting that occurred on September 8, 2023, in the Western District, investigators have arrested 18-year-old London Stevenson.

Investigators learned that Stevenson shot the 14-year-old female victim while in the 2100 block of Presstman Street.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify London Stevenson as the suspect, obtaining a warrant for his arrest.

On March 12, 2025, at approximately 5:45 a.m., investigators arrested Stevenson without incident in the 2900 block of Southland Avenue. London Stevenson was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder.

Western District Shooting Investigation

On September 8, 2023, at approximately 7:20 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of North Pulaski Street and Presstman Street to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers canvassed the area and located a 14-year-old female suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where she is currently listed in stable condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 2100 block of Presstman Street.

Western District detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
