On July 15, 2025, Regional Auto Theft Taskforce (RATT) officers arrested Michael Reed in the 8800 block of Loch Raven Boulevard and transported him to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder.

“I’ve said it many times: anyone who chooses to carry and use deadly weapons on the streets of Baltimore will be held accountable," said Mayor Brandon M. Scott. "I am grateful to BPD and the detectives who worked to solve this case and bring closure to the victims. As we continue to tackle the epidemic of violence in Baltimore, we remain committed to the strategies we know are working to bring crime to historic lows. That includes not only deterrence and community investment, but also accountability for those who choose to bring violence our neighborhoods."
