Western District Attempted Murder Arrest

In reference to the shooting that occurred in the Western District on December 29, 2025, detectives have arrested 47-year-old Kevin Brooks of Baltimore.

Brooks was arrested in connection with the shooting of a 35-year-old male that occurred in the 600 block of North Fremont Avenue.

On January 5, 2026, Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested Brooks while in the 1000 block of North Mount Street, transporting him to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with Attempted First-Degree Murder.

Western District Shooting Investigation

On December 29, 2025, at approximately 11:48 p.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 2500 block of West Fairmont Avenue for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 35-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

At this time, the location of the shooting has been set to the 600 block of North Fremont Avenue.
