Western District Shooting Investigation 

On September 3, 2026, at approximately 10:27 p.m., Officers responded to the 1600 block of Laurens Street  to investigate a ShotSpotter alert. 

Upon arrival, officers located evidence of a shooting; however, no victim was found at the scene. On September 4, 2026, at approximately 1:20 p.m., detectives located a victim in the 1600 block of North Smallwood Street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
