BPD announces arrest of murder, arson and rape suspect Jason Billingsley

Acting Commissioner Richard Worley, Mayor Brandon M. Scott and State’s Attorney Ivan Bates announce the arrest of 32-year-old Jason Dean Billingsley, of Baltimore.

Billingsley was taken into custody in Bowie at approximately 11 p.m. on Sept. 27 by BPD's Warrant Apprehension Task Force (WATF) alongside the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, Maryland State Police, Baltimore County Police, Prince George’s County Police, Howard County Police, The ATF, Bowie State University Police and DC Metro Police.

Investigators continue to actively review all other open cases since October 2022, to determine if any other connections exist.

Billingsley was wanted in connection to an attempted murder, arson and rape that occurred on Sept. 19, 2023, in the 800 block of Edmondson Avenue and a murder that occurred on Sept. 25, 2023.
