Obtain a Police Report

Members of the public can obtain accident reports online and can request other public police reports through our Community Correspondence Unit. 

Vehicle-related Accident Reports

Accident reports from 2011 to present are available for a $19 fee established by LexisNexis using an online LexisNexis database. To retrieve the report, you will need one of the following:

Full name and date of incident

Location

Method of Payment

Vehicle-related accident reports, including reports prior to 2011, may also be requested using the mail-in form below or emailing your request to CCU@baltimorepolice.org. In most cases, BPD will produce disclosable records within thirty days after receiving your request. However, there may be instances in which BPD needs additional time to locate, generate and/or review the requested record. Fees may apply depending on the scope of your request. If fees apply, you will be contacted before the request is fulfilled.

Other Incident Reports

All other incident reports may be requested using a mail-in form below or emailing your request to CCU@baltimorepolice.org. BPD will produce disclosable records no more than thirty-days after receiving your request. Fees may apply depending on the scope of your request. If fees apply, you will be contacted before the request is fulfilled.
