Obtain a Police Report
Members of the public may obtain Baltimore City accident reports online and may request other public police reports through our Community Correspondence Unit.
Vehicle-Related Baltimore City Accident Reports
To retrieve the report, you will need one of the following:
- Report number
- Full name and date of incident
- Location
Accident reports occurring on or after Jan. 1, 2011, are only available online at https://policereports.lexisnexis.com/
For any accident report occurring prior to 2011, you may make your request by email to ccu@baltimorepolice.org.
Request Microfilm reports (prior to year 2001).
In most cases, BPD will produce disclosable records within 30 days after receiving your request. However, there may be instances in which BPD needs additional time to locate, generate and/or review the requested record.
Other Baltimore City Incident Reports
All other incident reports may be requested using the form below or by emailing a completed form to ccu@baltimorepolice.org. BPD will attempt to produce disclosable records no more than 30 days after receiving your request. Fees may apply depending on the scope of your request. If fees apply, you will be contacted before the request is fulfilled.
