Northwestern District 

In the Northwestern District, officers in the area of Cochran Avenue made an arrest that resulted in the recovery of one 40-caliber Hi-Point JCP handgun with 14 40-caliber rounds and one Springfield Armory XP 45-caliber handgun with 13 45-caliber rounds.

Eastern District Handgun Violation Arrest

On March 15, 2023 at approximately 4 p.m., police officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 2300 block of East North Avenue. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and instead fled on foot, brandishing a handgun that he then threw onto a nearby rooftop, which was later captured by the Foxtrot aviation unit. Fortunately, the officers swiftly apprehended a 30-year-old suspect and placed him under arrest. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the fire department, the handgun was successfully recovered. The suspect was then transported to the Central Booking intake facility for further processing.

Southwest District Handgun Violation/Recovered Vehicle Arrest

On March 15, 2024, at approximately 8:27 p.m., Southwest District officers were investigating an unregistered motorcycle with no tags in the 1300 block of West Baltimore Street. Officers stepped away from the motorcycle to obtain additional information regarding the motorcycle, only to return and observe an unidentified male attempting to start the unregistered motorcycle. Officers approached the unidentified male when he began to flee on foot from the officers. A brief foot pursuit ensued, resulting in the suspect being apprehended by officers. Officers placed the suspect under arrest and recovered a handgun with rounds. Officers investigated the unregistered motorcycle and discovered that the motorcycle had been stolen from Anne Arundel County. The 22-year-old suspect was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged accordingly.

Northeast District Robbery/Recovered Carjacking Arrests

On March 15, 2024, at approximately 7 p.m., officers responded to the 4600 block of Sinclair Lane to investigate a call for an armed robbery.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with a complainant who stated that he was robbed at gunpoint by a group of unidentified males. Officers attempted to locate the suspects. Officers requested assistance from Foxtrot and discovered that the suspects were attempting to flee the area in a vehicle, traveling at a high speed and disregarding traffic laws.

As Foxtrot began to track the vehicle, they observed it strike another vehicle, causing damage. They continued to flee from that scene, then struck a marked Baltimore City police vehicle in the 900 block of North Belnord Street. The suspects bailed out of the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Foxtrot and Officers in the immediate area apprehended two male suspects, ages 13 and 14. Officers discovered that the vehicle the suspects used to flee from the armed robbery was a vehicle they had taken in an armed carjacking.

Both juveniles were transported to the Baltimore City Juvenile Justice Center, where they both were charged with robbery.

Central District Handgun and CDS Violation Arrest

On March 15, 2024, at approximately 5:44 p.m., Central District Action Team officers were working in a covert location while monitoring the 200 block of North Eutaw Street, when they observed a female suspect conducting a narcotics sale within the block.

Units on the ground responded to that location and arrested the 67-year-old female suspect without incident, seizing a loaded handgun and CDS from the suspect.

Investigators transported the suspect to the Central Booking Intake Facility where she has been charged with several handgun violations including firearm possession with a felony conviction, distribution, and CDS violations.

Southern District Attempted Carjacking/Robbery Arrest

On March 17, 2024, at approximately 6:17 p.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 900 block of Light Street, for a report of an assault and attempted carjacking.

Once there, officers spoke with the 37-year-old male victim who stated that while sitting in his vehicle in the unit block of East Wheeling Street, he was approached by three unidentified black males, two of whom demanded the victim's vehicle and assaulted the victim before fleeing the location on foot with the victim's keys.

A description of the suspects was dispatched over the air and with the assistance of Foxtrot and responding officers, the suspects were apprehended in the 1700 block of Covington Road.

Officers transported a 15-year-old male and a 16-year-old male to the Juvenile Justice Center for processing. A 13-year-old male, who did not participate in the attempted robbery or assault was released to his parent.

Citywide Robbery Detectives are continuing to investigate this incident.
