Handgun and CDS Arrest

On March 19, 2024 at approximately noon, detectives apprehended a 21-year-old male in the 400 block of Laurens Street. The individual was found to have two outstanding warrants. During the apprehension, officers discovered a firearm concealed in the individual’s front waistband along with controlled dangerous substances. The individual was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the central booking intake facility.

Southern District Attempted Murder Arrest

On March 19, 2024, detectives served an arrest warrant for attempted 1st-degree murder on 32-year-old Shairor Whitaker of Baltimore.

Detectives believe that Whitaker shot a 48-year-old female victim while in the 800 block of Bethune Road on March 3, 2024.

Detectives transported Whitaker to the Central Booking Intake Facility.

Southwest District Robbery Arrests

On March 18, 2024, at approximately 5:44 a.m., officers responded to the 2700 block of Frederick Avenue to investigate a call for an aggravated assault.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with a male complainant who stated that he was sprayed by mace and robbed by a female and male suspect in the 3200 block of Wilkens Avenue.

Officers immediately canvassed the area for the suspects, and both were located on the 2700 block of Frederick Avenue. Both individuals, 30-year-old Robert Hewitt and 29-year-old Lisa Triplett were placed under arrest and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where they were charged accordingly.

Western District Sexual Assault Arrest

In reference to two recent sexual assaults of minors, Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested 70-year-old Gregory Hightower of Baltimore.

Hightower was arrested without incident on March 19, 2024, in the 400 block of Robert Street.

Gregory Hightower is currently being treated at an area hospital after complaining of pain.

Upon being released from the hospital, Hightower will be transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he will be officially charged.
