Central District Stolen Vehicle & Handgun Violation Arrest

On March 24, 2024, at approximately 7:20 p.m., Foxtrot Aviation officers alerted units working out of the Central District of a stolen vehicle traveling near Aliceanna at Bond Street.

Central District patrol officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle parked in the 700 block of Bond Street. As units approached, the suspect fled on foot.

Following a brief foot pursuit, Central District Action Team officers located the suspect in the 800 block of Caroline Street.

Seized from the stolen vehicle, officers recovered a loaded handgun that was reported stolen out of the state of Georgia.

The 31-year-old male suspect, who was prohibited from possessing a firearm and ammunition, was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he was charged accordingly.

Western District Homicide Arrest

In reference to the homicide that occurred in the Western District on March 15, 2024, investigators have arrested 30-year-old Reginald Peay of Baltimore.

Investigators learned that Peay shot and killed 35-year-old Lenora Alston while in the 1000 block of Fulton Avenue, just after 2 a.m.

Peay, who was being held at the Central Booking Intake Facility on a handgun violation, was officially charged with first-degree murder on March 21, 2024.

Reginald Peay is currently being held without bail.
