Central District Attempted Murder Arrest

In reference to a shooting that occurred on September 1, 2023, in the Central District, detectives have arrested a 15-year-old male suspect.

After learning that the 15-year-old suspect shot a 12-year-old male victim while in the 1100 block of Wilmot Court, Investigators obtained an arrest warrant.

The 15-year-old suspect, who was already being held at Baltimore City Juvenile Center on unrelated handgun charges, was transported to Central Booking Intake Facility, on October 3, where he has been charged as an adult for attempted 1st degree murder.

He remains in Central Booking and is being held without bail.

Central District Shooting Investigation

On September 1, 2023, at approximately 7:05 p.m., officers were patrolling in the 1100 block of East Madison Street when they heard discharging in the area.

Officers immediately located a 12-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital where he is currently in stable condition.

Preliminary Investigation revealed that the incident occurred in the 1100 block of Wilmot Court.

Central District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
