Eastern District Shooting Investigation

On April 13, 2024, at approximately 6:03 p.m., Eastern District patrol officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of 28th Street for a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 26-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the left arm. The victim was transported to an area hospital and listed in stable condition.

Northwest District Shooting Investigation

On April 13, 2024, at approximately 6:35 p.m., Northwest District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment.

Once at the hospital, officers located a 56-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the left leg. The victim is listed in stable condition.

Western District Shooting Investigation

On April 13, 2024, at approximately 1:39 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting at the 2400 block of Liberty Heights Avenue.

Once there, they located a 7-year-old female victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the upper body. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment. She is currently in critical but stable condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that two groups had an altercation inside the mall when an unidentified male suspect fired a shot as he was running away, striking the victim who was not the intended target.
