Central District Homicide Investigation 

On August 14, 2023, at approximately 6 p.m., Central District officers responded to the 900 Block of North Broadway to investigate a shooting. 

Once at the location, officers found two male victims, a 16-year-old and a 28-year-old, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. Both victims were transported to an area hospital where the juvenile victim was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.

Southwest District Shooting Investigation

On August 14, 2023, at approximately 12:40 p.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a walk-in victim seeking treatment.

Once at the hospital, officers located a 23-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the left hand. The victim is listed in stable condition.

The victim stated he was walking his dog inside Carroll Park when he heard gunfire and realized he was shot.

Southeast District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Southeast District Shooting detectives at 410-396-2488.
