Northeast District Homicide Investigation

On August 26, 2023, at approximately 12:02 p.m., officers responded to the 4400 block of Kenilworth Avenue to investigate a call for a cutting.

Upon arrival, officers observed an unresponsive 45-year-old male suffering from numerous life-threatening stab wounds. Medics arrived and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Western District Homicide Investigation

On August 26, 2023, at approximately 11:02 a.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of Ashburton Street to investigate a call for a shooting. 

Upon arrival, officers observed an unidentified male suffering from numerous life-threatening gunshot wounds. Medics on the scene attempted life-saving measures but sadly pronounced the victim deceased. 

Preliminary investigation revealed that officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert for the 2700 block of Strayer Court. Officers canvassed the area and did not locate a victim. 

Officers were then advised that an unidentified male was seen fleeing from the scene on foot, entering a residence located in the 2700 block of Mosher Street. This individual is believed to be a possible suspect in this incident. 
Homicide detectives were notified, and the SWAT Team was dispatched to the location.

Upon clearing the residence in the 2700 block of Mosher Street, the SWAT Team did not locate a suspect. 
Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Northern District Shooting Investigation

On August 26, 2023, at approximately 1:28 a.m., Central District officers responded to an area hospital to investigate a call for a walk-in shooting victim.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 44-year-old male suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Simultaneously, Northern District officers received a call for a discharging in the area of the 3300 block of Wiley Avenue and the 4500 block of Pimlico Road. Officers responded to that location and did not locate a victim.

Moments later, Northern District officers received a call for a walk-in shooting victim at an area hospital.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 33-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the incident occurred in the 4500 block of Pimlico Road.

Northern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Western District Homicide Investigation

On August 26, 2023, at approximately 5:44 a.m., officers responded to a residence located in the 1600 block of North Monroe Street to investigate a call for a cutting.

Upon arrival, officers observed an unresponsive 43-year-old female suffering from numerous life-threatening stab wounds. Medics arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Northern District Homicide Investigation

On August 26, 2023, at approximately 5:46 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 3400 block of Old York Road to investigate a call for a check the well-being.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 32-year-old male suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where despite life-saving measures he was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
