Southern District Shooting Investigation

On December 12, 2022, at approximately 12:43 p.m., a patrol officer was in the area of the 3600 block of South Hanover Street when the officer heard discharging.

A short time later, the officer observed an unknown male victim running from an armed suspect.

The victim fell to ground after being shot in the back and the suspect fled the location on foot.

Medics responded and transported the victim to an area hospital.

Southern District shooting detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.

Southern District Shooting Investigation

On December 12, 2022, at approximately 5:30 a.m., officers responded to a shot spotter alert in the 1300 block of Washington Boulevard.

Upon arrival, officers found a 32-year-old male victim being placed into the back of an ambulance. The victim was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his buttocks and was transported to an area hospital.

Southern District shooting detectives responded and are investigating this incident.

The victim reports that he was standing in the block when he heard gunshots. The victim the stated he felt pain and realized he had been shot, but didn’t see where the shots came from.
