Western District Shooting Investigation

On December 31, 2022, at approximately 4:50 p.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 900 block of Harlem Avenue, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the foot.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Western District detectives are asking anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2477 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.

Western District Homicide Investigation

On December 30, 2022, at approximately 8:24 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of N. Carey Street for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located an unidentified male who was suffering from gunshot wounds to his torso. The victim was transported to Shock Trauma where he later died.

A second unknown male victim was located on Lauren’s Street at Carey Street, and was suffering from gunshot wounds. His condition is unknown.

A third victim, a 43-year-old male, was located in the 1300 block of Woodyear Street with gunshot wounds to his legs. He was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Homicide detectives are investigating this incident. Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to call detectives at 410-396-2100.

Juvenile Homicide Investigation

On December 30, 2022, at approximately 5:06 p.m., officers responded to a home in the 2100 block of Presbury Street for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 7-year-old boy who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. Officers immediately rendered aid until medics arrived.

The victim was transported to Johns Hopkins Pediatrics Hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Also on the premises was an 18-year-old male. That male was taken into police custody and transported to an area hospital where he is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.

This investigation is ongoing.
