Southern District Homicide Investigation

On Feb. 29, 2024, at approximately 10:27 p.m., officers responded to the 800 block of Bethune Road to investigate a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located an unidentified male suffering from numerous life-threatening gunshot wounds. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where, despite life-saving measures, he was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives were notified and assumed control over this investigation.

Central District Shooting Investigation

On Feb. 29, 2024, at approximately 6:34 p.m., officers were patrolling in the 1400 block of East Fayette Street when they heard discharging in the immediate area.

Officers canvassed the immediate area and discovered two males, ages 19 and 44 years old, both suffering from numerous gunshot wounds. Medics transported both victims to an area hospital where they were receiving treatment for their injuries.

Central District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Southwest District Homicide Investigation

On Feb. 29, 2024, at approximately 5:10 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of South Stockton Street to investigate a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed an unidentified male suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital, where, despite life-saving measures, he was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
