Western District Homicide Investigation

On Feb. 3, 2024, at approximately 9:50 a.m., Western District officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Edmondson Avenue to investigate a reported possible overdose.

Upon arrival, officers located a 55-year-old male victim lying unresponsive on the front porch. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by medics, and the body was transported to the Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy.

On Feb. 4, 2024, the Medical Examiner's Office performed an autopsy and discovered a gunshot wound to the victim's left shoulder, which caused his death.

Eastern District Shooting Investigation

On Feb. 3, 2024, at approximately 5:44 p.m., officers responded to an area hospital to investigate a walk-in shooting victim. Upon arrival, officers observed a 32-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. 

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 1500 block of Carswell Street. 

Eastern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives at 410-396-2433.
