Southeast District Shooting Investigation

On Feb. 8, 2024, at approximately 9:41 p.m., officers responded to the 3000 block of East Biddle Street to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 38-year-old male in the 1200 block of North Potomac Street and a 27-year-old female located in the 1400 block of North Potomac Street, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics transported both victims to an area hospital where they were being treated for their injuries. Both victims are listed in stable condition at this time.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victims were shot in the 3000 block of East Biddle Street.

Southeast District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Northwest District Shooting Investigation

On Feb. 8, 2024, at approximately 8:31 p.m., officers responded to the area of Paton Avenue and Denmore Avenue to investigate a call for a discharging.

Upon canvassing the area, officers located evidence of a shooting in the 5200 block of Denmore Avenue. Officers then received a call for a walk-in shooting victim at an area hospital.

Upon responding to the area hospital, officers observed a 40-year-old male suffering from numerous gunshot wounds. The victim is currently in stable condition.
