Northern District Homicide Investigation

On June 10, 2023, at approximately 6:33 a.m., Northern District patrol officers responded to the 400 block of Lorraine Avenue for a reported stabbing investigation.

Once at the location, officers located a 43-year-old female victim suffering from an apparent stab wound lying unresponsive inside the residence. Medics responded and pronounced the victim deceased a short time later.

A relative of the victim was taken into custody at the location after admitting to officers that he stabbed the victim.

Southwest District Homicide Investigation

On June 10, 2023, at approximately 5:05 p.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 2000 block of Ashton Street to Investigate a reported shooting.

Once at the location, officers located an unidentified male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was transported to an area hospital. Despite life-saving measures, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Northeast District Shooting Investigation

On June  10, 2023, at approximately 6:13 p.m., Northeast District officers responded to the 5100 block of Sinclair Lane to Investigate discharging.

Once at the location, Officers did an area canvas and gathered information that a sedan vehicle was involved in a shootout.

Sometimes later, officers were called to the 4800 block of Bowland Avenue for a shooting. Once there, Officers located a 21-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. The victim was transported to an area hospital by a medic with non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim parked his sedan vehicle in the 5100 block of Sinclair Lane when an unidentified black male walked up to the vehicle and began discharging at the vehicle. The sedan driver then returned gunfire and fled the area.
