Southwest District Homicide Investigation

On June 15, 2023, at approximately 10:24 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of McPhail Street to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers were flagged down by a 45-year-old male who stated that two unidentified males shot at him in the 100 block of McPhail Street. The 45-year-old male was uninjured during this incident.

As officers continued to canvas the area, they observed an unresponsive unidentified male suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. Medics responded and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Northern District Shooting Investigation

On June 15, 2023, at approximately 9:16 p.m., officers responded to the 2700 block of Virginia Avenue to investigate a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 31-year-old male suffering from numerous non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to his arm. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.

Northern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Northern District Shooting Investigation/Hospital Walk-In

On June 15, 2023, at approximately 12:11 p.m., officers responded to the 2600 block of Greenmount Avenue for reports of a discharging. While they were on scene, they were dispatched to an area hospital for a call for a walk-in shooting victim.

Officers observed a 32-year-old male victim suffering from what appeared to be a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the stomach.

Following further investigation, officers believe a suspect and a victim were engaged in a verbal exchange in the area of the above address when the suspect allegedly shot the victim.

Northern District Shooting Investigation

On June 15, 2023, at approximately 2:17 a.m., Northern District officers responded to the 3400 block of Old York Road to Investigate discharging.

Once at the location, Officers did an area canvas and found evidence of discharging of a firearm.

Sometime later, officers were called to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment for a gunshot wound to the right shoulder. Officers responded to the hospital and located a 29-year-old male victim being treated for a non-life-threatening injury.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in the 3400 block of Old York Road when two unidentified male suspects approached and shot the victim. The victim transported himself to the hospital.
