Northern District Shooting Investigation

On June 16, 2023, at approximately 8:47 p.m., officers were conducting a car stop near the area of the 4600 block York Road when they heard discharging.

Officers canvassed the area and discovered three male victims near the intersection of East Cold Spring Lane and York Road, all suffering from numerous non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to their bodies.

Medics transported the three victims on the scene to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

Officers were then notified that three additional victims had walked into area hospitals suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

The victim's ages and genders are as follows:
A 17-year-old male, two 22-year-old males, a 26-year-old male, an 18-year-old male and a 32-year-old female.

Northern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Western District Shooting Investigation

On June 16, 2023, at approximately 6:48 p.m., officers patrolling the 100 block of North Mount Street were flagged down by a motorist who advised that a passenger of his vehicle was shot.

Officers then observed a 37-year-old male suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where he is being treated for his injury.

Western District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Southwest District Homicide Investigation

On June 16, 2023, at approximately 12:53 p.m., officers responded to the 2500 block of West Lexington Street to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers observed an unidentified male suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds to his body. Medics transported the victim to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma, where he was pronounced deceased despite life-saving measures.

Homicide Detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 200 block of North Warwick Avenue.

Southern District Shooting Investigation

On June 16, 2023, at approximately 10:32 a.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 900 block of East Patapsco Avenue to Investigate a reported shooting.

Once at the location, officers located a 65-year-old female victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the right leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was inside a store in the 900 block of East Patapsco Avenue when a black SUV started to fire a handgun from the vehicle, striking the victim. The suspect vehicle then fled in an unknown direction.

Eastern District Shooting Investigation

On June 16, 2023, at approximately 3:45 a.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to the 1600 block of Normal Avenue to Investigate a reported shooting.

Once at the location, officers located a 39-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the left knee. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in the 2300 block of Sherwood Avenue when an unidentified male suspect approached the victim and attempted to rob him. At this time, the victim tried to wrestle away the suspect gun when he was shot. The suspect then fled in an unknown direction.
