Eastern District Homicide Investigation (Ruled a Homicide) 

On Sept. 24, 2021, at approximately 11:53 a.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of North Central Avenue to investigate a call for a police notification.

Upon arrival, officers observed 62-year-old Reginald Evans suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics transported Reginald to an area hospital to receive treatment for his injury.

Eastern District detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

On Dec. 2, 2023, at approximately 2:09 p.m., Homicide detectives received a call from the Medical Examiner's Office, notifying them of the death of 62-year-old Reginal Evans. Reginald was pronounced deceased in the early hours of Dec. 2, 2023, at an area hospital. The Medical Examiner's Office had possession of Reginald's body and would be conducting an autopsy to determine his cause of death.

On March 1, 2024, The Medical Examiner's Office ruled Reginald Evan's death a homicide due to medical complications sustained from being shot.

Western District Shooting Investigation

March 1, 2024, at approximately 10:47 p.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue to investigate a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 20-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.

Western District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Northeast District Homicide Investigation

On March 1, 2024, at approximately 1:05 p.m., officers responded to the 5400 block of Sinclair Lane to investigate a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 55-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where, despite life-saving measures, he was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
